Rainforests play a crucial role in regulating the world's climate. To understand the type of plants and animals present in our rainforests as an indication of the relative health of this habitat, a dedicated team of surveyors devoted themselves to a three-year ecological study on rainforest biodiversity from 2008 to 2010. The book, sponsored by HSBC, is a compilation of the results of the survey and highlights the rich biodiversity of Singapore's rainforests.
